About Judy

Judy has completed 10 Ironmans triathlons including IMLake PlacidIMWisconsinIMFlorida, IMKentucky, and IMMaryland. She has been placed in her own age group or over-all in every triathlon distance from sprint to Half Ironman. She completed over 25 marathons not including the one’s in her Ironman’s. 

Judy also participates in Ultra distance running: exceeding the marathon distance. She has completed ten 24-hour running races and placed in the top 3 for women in three. She completed three 100 mile races. She achieved her personal best completing 115 miles in 2019 in a 48 hour Ultra and finished 2nd in Master’s females. 

Having participated in numerous races from 5K’s to beyond marathons, these experiences are integrated into coaching her clients to THEIR athletic potential. Judy unites personal experience and insights with her academic credentials and professional certifications for each athlete she coaches and every individual she trains. This synthesis empowers her clients to succeed!

Honors and Recognition

Education & Certifications

  • A Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the State University of New York at Albany, with emphasis on addiction(s) has been essential to help my clients undo the all too common struggle with food as a compulsion and addiction.
  • Certified Health Coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, completed in December 2020
  • She is a Yoga Alliance certified 200 hour Yoga Instructor as it is clear to her that the physical and psychological benefits are the perfect adjunct to ALL healthy lifestyles. Yoga is about becoming present to yourself and life as it is occurring and learning practices that keep you capable of being grounded and awakened, especially when it’s not easy. It’s simple, really; we win if we can fully and joyfully experience the moments of our lives without having to “check out” or “numb up”. She integrates the physical asanas and the philosophy of yoga in all her work with clients including individual training sessions and her food coaching.
  • As a certified Healthexcel Metabolic Typing Counselor she identifies the specific differences in the nutritional requirements for your body. Bringing the technology and knowledge of metabolic typing to her clients is another tool for achieving their weight and sport performance goals.
  • She is a Precision Nutrition certified Nutrition Counselor.
  • She holds a health Fitness Specialist certification from the American College of Sports Medicine. This education in the proper techniques allows her to safely and effectively design programs for all training clients.
  • She is an Ironman University Certified Triathlon Coach. This enables her to guide triathletes and runners in programming, technique, sport psychology and general sport nutrition so as to insure optimal race performance. These fields of study are ever changing, staying up to date on current training protocols is as mandatory for her athletic accomplishments as it is for her clients.
